My Red Beverley kit is a swirl. Very subtle but it's there. Doesn't show up well in pics but they must have offered different colors in that wrap. I absolutely love mine. They sound so good ! The Blue Badge is my favorite too. I honestly think these drums are the least known best drums in the world. I read that they sold well in the 70's - 80's in the USA but mine are the only ones I have ever seen, and of all the drummers I have known, never knew anyone personally that ever had any.
advice on heads for Beverly 26x12 bass drum
That looks really good! If it's 22/12/13/16 then I guess it's the same as the kit I have here. Happy to hear that it sounds so good.
I bought mine blindly on the dutch local internet market for about 150 dollar (including also a 10 lug tama royal star snare drum). I friend of mine picked it up for me, because he happened to have to drive to that era for business. When he brought me the kiy, the floor tom appeared to be a taiwan garbage can (peace or something). Bummer. This Beverley kit is rare in europe to. So where to find a floor????? 3 days later I found one. I had to pay 100 dollars for it! It doesn't have the same wrap. So, I'll have to re-wrap, or do something else. Depends on what I want to make of it, a collectors or players kit. Don't know yet. Your's looks like a collectors kit. Do you gig it?

Really cool set you have there. I would of went with ps3 batter and reso side. For some reason it just works!
Nice kit! I would put a clear powerstroke on kick batter. They always work for me
