I know from recent experience that powder coating comes out beautiful. However, if the surface is a even as it appears in the photos it might be interesting to just clear coat it, as is. Just a thought....

Could you post a pic of powder coating?

I agree with you GG...It definitely would be a different finish for an Acro...Simple...Only my 2 cents though.

Actually, feel free to discuss the Supraphonic in this thread. :)

That drum is definitely right in line with what I'm thinking. Lots of good ideas and great detailing on it.

It totally exemplifies the resto-mod mentality!

Recent Ludwig Accent 13/16/18/26, (in Silver Sparkle), "updated" 70's Acrolite with cast batter hoop and Trick strainer/butt

Cymbals:
Zildjian K Custom Ride, Dream (Bliss and Contact) crashes and hats, and a Sabian Swish/China.
