See Thread Link below if you are interested in the background of my post here.

http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=19975

Short story:

I put three cymbals on the market....CL & Kijiji. A fellow from Poland emailed me to say he wanted them and would pay the full asking price plus shipping and insurance.

He did....the money is waiting for me at a local WU outlet here in town.

He sent me the WU Code and all the information I will need to pick the money up.

I can hardly believe that Maciek (the person buying the cymbals) would send almost $1,000cdn to me without even knowing me. There are some scams out the but this was not one of them. We need more people like Maciek and Harry Conway in the world. Harry recently bought a snare drum for me - without ever meeting me other than on this Forum.

I will send Maciek his cymbals today - but they will take at least eight weeks to get to Poland from here - and he' okay with that.

I'm impressed with how everything turned out.

Glad to hear it all turned out ok Gary, I was on the fence about this one, but you took the right steps to make the transaction secure. Glad it worked out for the both of you!

Have done some business on trust myself. Mostly dealing with different forum members. Have not been a problem. Usually if I can talk with them on the phone, I get a feeling they are for real. Bought vintage Rogers set last year with no problems.

Glad you stuck with it and it worked out.

Thanks guys - ya - it worked out great. I picked the money up today and sent Maciek the cymbals. It could not have gone any smoother.

I went right down to Long&McQuade and put another $800 down on the Gretsch Champagne Sparkle shellpack before it burnt a hole in my pocket. It's almost paid for completely from selling extra drum equipment. Ahhh....maybe I'm not a "hoarder" after all....I was getting worried there for a while.

I was skeptical about this transaction myself at first. So I'm a bit curious.....what do you find fishy RogerSling?
