You don't need to replace the collets unless they are cracked, which happens from being over tightened. Judging the overall condition of the kit based on the pics you posted, I'd say those are probably fine.
70’s Rogers Butcher Block
That looks to be in fantastic condition. Bass and 13" tom appear to have the original reso heads. Probably the 12 and 16 do also. I'll bet the snare frame is still on the Dynasonic. Jeez, that's a steal for $500.

I agree with the comment from 73 Rogers. Who said that the collets on the drum set are in need of replacement? They might be in great condition. Before he matured, my son voided the new car warranties of several cars by replacing original equipment car parts that the manufacturers "foolishly" used. He replaced engine parts, drive train parts, suspension parts, wheels, secret modules, etc. with super duper high-zoot aftermarket parts. There are some drummers who do similar things by replacing perfectly well-functioning parts with parts that they think the manufacturer should have used. If an original part has failed, some people think that an original replacement part should be used. Other people like using a "new and improved" substitute for the original part.
From the floor tom leg mounts, looks like a first issue of the Memriloc sets with swivomatic mounts. Later sets had the Memriloc legs and mounts.
And I know of no one who objected to replacing the cracked collets with even the new machined collets.
Still waiting to hear back from the seller again. I sent him a friendly message over the weekend, but nothing yet. I’m starting to get a little concerned, but not too much. It took him over a week to reply to my original inquiry, saying he had been out of town. We had a really nice dialog back and forth so I don’t think he’s ignoring me.

I hope that you don't think I object to replacing cracked or malfunctioning collets. But, to replace functioning collets seems silly to me.

Boy, I really hope you get this set. Looks like a great deal, and without shipping? Wow, even sweeter!
No doubt, waiting on the seller to get back to you is tough, but he sounds like a decent guy and in no rush to sell. I have a good feeling about this. Good luck!
I heard from the seller yesterday and we arranged a meeting for today. He actually just delivered the drums to me at my work. Only issue appears to be 2 broken t-rods on the kick drum. All have Rogers resonant heads. And the snare appears to be complete. Can’t wait to try them out.

Don't think you object. Just making sure those not familiar with Rogers collets know quality original spec replacements are out there (not originally made by Rogers) and will not hurt the value of the drums.

Wow, good deal!
Seller sounds like a great guy.
