I confess when it come to Ringo, for me it's a case of the Emperors new clothes. I really don't get it. Maybe it's being a child growing up in Britain in the 60s or something. While the Beatles undoubtedly shaped the sound of music, I'm not sure that Ringo (as a drummer) was that influential. I can think of others such as Brian Bennet and Charlie Watts who were far superior.
Now, now, don't starting WW III here....we're all in agreement that whatever you think of Ringo's playing he influenced millions to play and/or buy drums in one way or another.... :)
