60's Slingerland Artist Model Blue Sparkle

Loading...

How much would you pay? All original except for heads and wires. Missing knob on the zoomy, but I have an extra to make it complete...and it functions as is. Extended butt end is complete. All original hoops/rods/lugs etc. Blue sparkle wrap in great shape.

Interior is maple...seller thinks it is a 3 ply drum.

Thanks guys!

If it's 3ply 150-200ish, if it is a single ply maybe 300-350. Blue sparkle is one of the most common wraps, so it doesn't help the rarity much. The artist model is one of my all time favorite snares, let us know if you get it!

Thanks for the info Deadhead! I don't really care about rarity. I am more of a "own it to play it" type of dude.

This one looks nice and will be my first "Artist" model...also my first blue sparkle drum. I am getting it for $150...so glad to hear that is a good price.

Hoping it is a single ply...but 3 ply works for me. I already have a 3 ply maple/pop/mahogany "Ace" from the same era in WMP and I love it...the strainer just loosens up too much during hard hitting shows. This one seems like it will at least stay put a little better for those type of situations.

I think if its an artist, anything under 250.00 would be a deal.

Do you know how to repair that zoomy ??

Cause the only reliable repair I've heard of costs $100 from JP Creations.

Kevin, is the knob really that big of a problem to fix? I've always heard of problems with zoomatics, but the 3 snares I've owned with zoomys have just been great with no problems whatsoever, so I really don't have any experience with repairing one. Seems like you can find a used strainer for cheaper than it would cost to fix.
