5x14 Stencil Snare $70

Loading...

Very clean 5x14 no name luan snare. Previous owner recovered it in some kind of turquoise marine pearl, but they did a nice job of it. However, it is terribly ugly. Anyway, I've had this snare for a while and done nothing with it. Same heads and everything as when I bought it. I was going to part it out with my other stuff, but it's honestly too nice for that. Maybe this will grab someone else. Very minor pitting, strainer and muffler work excellently. Thin shell with rerings. Only issue I can see is the seam might need a spot of glue, assuming you don't recover it.

$70 and it's yours.

It's an 8. Yeah, it's not too bad sounding. I'll see what I can do to get some clips up.

I was wondering if this was Pearl related somehow. The hardware feels a lot more substantial than my other stencils.

I got a recording, just need to figure out how to get it up. Granted, the drum really needs new heads, but it'll give anyone interested a ballpark idea anyway.

OK, here we go, via YouTube. Please excuse my uninspired playing. It was first thing in the morning. Two things, one these heads need changed very badly. This should give you a rough idea of what it will sound like. Two, the recording is just an SM57 about a foot above the head angled in. The drum is wide open, though I usually put the muffler up a hair when I was playing this drum.

Any questions, please ask.

Cool, wow it actually sounds pretty alright.

Thanks for the video Really appreciate it!
