Never use steel wool on chrome .......That is so full of SHT i ever heard such ...
Man i use the ruff or the fine steel wool on Aluminum and chrome and all kinds of metal ..man you can use steel wool just about on any project ...LOL beside's on wood ....use it even on Brass ....

Don`t, even 0000 with lube will scratch the finnish. Your chrome will look awsome up until you take a picture of it. It`s then that you will state ...Why does my chrome look like sh*t ??

I had 2 vintage slingy stands I was going to trade to a forum member. I polished them up and used steel wool. I mentioned this to the guy and he was totally unintrested then. It does scratch the chrome. The Nevr Dull wadding will get all the rust off and wont scratch the chrome, but it takes a little elbow grease!
