1980 Rogers XP-8 kit Last viewed: 10 seconds ago

My youngest is getting serious, so I thought I'd take a few snaps of the full kit before I tore it apart to put together a 4 piece for her. 14x24, 16x18, 15x12, 14x10, 13x9, 12x8 and a Dynasonic. Oooooooh the memories ;-) Or... A 5 piece with that new 18x20 floor I got from Vinny! Kinda an oversize cocktail set...?

A beautiful XP-8 kit! I love the "forest of cymbals", too! As for your 20+ yr rusty chops, I sometimes feel the same way! I spend more time refurbishing drums than playing, so I really get that "rusty" feeling. However, one only needs a very cool set of drums, like yours, to bring inspiration to our "old" chops. Play away!

I always wanted the sunburst kit when I was younger.

I had a XP8 in the cherry wood finish but lost it when I left it with friends for a while. Man I wish I never did that.

I remember how heavy those boom arms were as well.

Lovely kit dude.

Those are so sweet. Great photos. I have a set that was painted over in black; unbelievable. someday I'll do my best to restore them to their glory.
