1979 Slingerland Oakwood

Finally got it headed like I like it. Here's a goofy little vid clip of the first test run. It's got a nice warmth to it. It's just a lot of banging, as the intent was to hear the oakwood drums. Whooptidoo.

I went with heavier heads on this one due to the more modern edges. The bass was tamed quite a bit with the Evans EQ4 heads. Might be a bit too much. We'll see. I really love the toms, though. Nice sounds to my ears.

Those toms sound thunderous, and I personally like the how the bass sounded as well
