I must say they (Tama) don't make them like they use too... and yes natural maple is also my favorite finish too.

But if you think my Superstar bop kit is nice... a friend of mine had a beautiful blue'ish silver Imperialstar 18/12/14 bop kit, I tried to buy off him with no such luck... but get this... he converted that original 18x14 Bass Drum into a freaking 14x18 floor tom (with legs) then into a Gong Bass when he moved into HEAVY METAL with dual 22" double bass set-up in 1986... oh, the stupid things we did as young adults...
