1978 TAMA Superstar Bop

This beautiful 1978 Tama SUPER MAPLE Superstar 18/12/14 bop kit was built during the day when Tama Drum Company was leading the way as far as sound & quality goes. Each drum has sound rings.

This kit happens to be my first and only MIJ kit in my collection.

I remember way back, I had to have a set of Tama drums... so by the time, I entered HS in 1980, I saved up and found these pre-owned at my local Music Store.

Nice! I figured you had to have one of these. I'm jealous as always!

Mine is an original 18" BD, but orphan toms.

Being they have rerings are they diagonal seams or straight ones on the shells inside? Tama shells if diagonal or if straight LA Camco leftovers maybe?. Just interesting to know.

All my Superstars are in this finish, I love it. Simply gorgeous. Love the way these look and sound. Honestly though I'm jealous you have a matching Superstar snare. The kit I got had a steel Mastercraft snare. Still a great drum, but would love to have a matching snare.

Oh heck yeah, those are freaking SWEET !! As a child of the 80's, I love 1980's drums.




Looking for a late 80's to early 90's, preferably Arctic White Pearl MLX 14x14 floor tom.
