Sorry to keep this thing alive, but does anyone know what kind of wood these might be made of?

They would be Phillipine "mahogany", not really top grade wood, 9 ply. There may also be a very thin maple or poplar veneer inside the larger toms and bass. What is he asking, if you don't mind sharing? Remember, the Supra is worth about 200 or more on it's own, so he may be reasonable if he is in the 500 or so range.

Yeah, the Supra and 2 Zildjians are worth some money on their own for sure, he's asking 600...which is not insane, but a bit much for my liking. I would do 450-500, I think that's about as high as I can go (for something I want, but don't need).

Thanks again for all of your help on this one folks.

Well, let him know in no uncertain terms what your top dollar is and stand on it. After he gets another 50 or so 200 offers, he will let it go if he wants it gone. Or he can keep them. Likely the GC has offered him 250 hoping to snag the Supra and cymbals.

Is the bass intact? Is the rail original? Or is there a hole? I am compiling configuration info, informally, so that I can keep up my own database of ID parameters so that I can continue answering questions of model, years etc. Again, he may well have picked them up in 76, but with the rail mount, they date to no later than 72.

If you can, next time you go by, take some pix for the site so we have them for ID.
