Well, I'll tell you what I think they are worth, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you will get someone to pay that price. Just giving you my personal feelings from the looks of what I see in the pictures...

I can't get a good idea of the fade on the silver sparkle. And the color is picking up a bit of the tan/pink tones in the room.

Is the center post mangled where the contact screw pressed against it?

Anyway... Here goes

The flat based cymbal stands are worth about $100.00 each. Each cymbal is probably worth $100.00 each. The snare stand is probably worth $50-$75. The hi-hat stand is probably worth $75-$100...Let's just round up the total "hardware" package with cymbals to be around $1000.00 just to make it easier.

I would average each drum (not including the SS snare) to be worth about $250 each (again -as an average for the fact that they are matching and all belong together) That means another $1000.00 for the "shell pack"

The SS is probably worth $200-$300

The cases in that kind of shape are probably worth $300-$500 for the complete set. Even the B/O logos are intact on them! unreal!

$2500.00-$3000.00 -likely even more on the East coast.

You can't buy a new set that will give you that Ludwig sound. That makes them worth something, too. But the completeness of this package is off the hook! You don't often see them this complete. It probably lived a sheltered life!

Please don't part them out! INSIST that everything sells together! That's the right thing to do, in my opinion.

The Center Post Has A Few Marks From Being Adjusted Nothing Along The Lines Of Being Mangled. The Silver Sparkle Looks Almost Like A White Sparkle Did They Even Make Such A Thing? I Have Been Trying To Find Out What They Called This Sparkle. It Truly Could Almost Be A White Sparkle There Are An Occasional Silver Flake To Be Found.

I just picked up some silver sparkle shells that did the same thing. They turned almost a white sparkle with some silver flakes. Strange. Rest assured, they started life as silver sparkle. The fading messed with the color quite a bit. ENJOY this kit.

Well, no matter WHAT you get for them, it will never be duplicated by the fact that it's a rare find. Not each individual piece, but the fact that it's all together, that's the rare part.

If it were ME. I'd keep them, THAT'S how cool of a score you have there.

It's "greater than the sum of the parts" cool.

Thanks again I am truly torn, I have never in my life seen such a complete cool set like this. yeah sure there are maybe better or more desired kits but i believe you are right when i found this i just about sh t to see everything from a-z including the Ching ring designed by Ralph Kester himself.

Yeah, man. I would keep that one if at all possible. It's a really special kit/ensemble.

question for you I just discovered a second seam on the bottom of the bass drum underneath the lugs like you would normally see the first seam that you see is on the side of the drum there are no signs of them being rewrapped the front rim and kick side rim look like they have never been off and if so put back on exactly where they were originally. all the toms and kick have faded as perfectly as the eye can tell. all of the seams on each drum have faded the same. Is it possible the factory would have done something like that. if they would have been rewrapped it would of been 35 years ago and why would you rewrap a new kit. the reason why I say 35 years is the guy i got them from has owned them that long and says he never new of them being rewrapped and he is a stand up guy. points of interest?
