1967 Vox Trixon Telstar(Speedfire)

Hi all,,

please see attached photo of my new kit that arrived in the u.k. today all the way from San Francisco!!!

Firstly, a Big thankyou to Mikey777 for informing me that this drum was for sale and assisiting me in the intial satges of the deal.

I would also like to say thanks to RogerSling and Kevins for recommending Forum member Jaye as a contact in the San Fran area..

Finally a massive thanks goes out to Jaye,, for finallising the initial sale with a third party and not only that but then collecting the kit and going to all the trouble of packing and posting it on to me.

Just goees to show that anything is possible with a "little help from your (vintage drum forum) friends" !!

Thanks again to everyone who helped me to fulfil my dream of owning a vox trixon speedfire kit... i am absolutely delighted !!

De nada, mi amigo. It does look like that bass might have melted a bit in transit, though. Sweeeeeeeeeet looking kits.

Trixon/Vox are (was) sooooooo cool!!!

I have a Trixon 1961 Luxus modell, and man, what a nice craftmansship.

I like my Ludwig, Camco, Premier,,,, but details on Trixon ( HiHat clutch, baspedal, details are unbelivable).

My dreeam is ( for little money ) get a Conical telestar , in blue croco or gold crocco ( coolest ever made wrap in the world).

Speefire , your drums are cool to. Seems to be in very good condition too.

You ARE so right about the Trixon craftmanship-i really love the wraps they used,trixon graphics and the unique t-rods..
