What does a kick sound like on a Trixon Telestar set? Also, how do you get replacement heads or is it strictly for collecting? I used to like North drums. When I was a kid in the early 80's a few local music stores still had North drums. Somehow when you take a basic set of drums and you make it look off it makes it look really cool.

hi,

the kick sounds quite full and has a deep sound,the skins on the telstar are

16" and 20" bass and floor tom and very easy to get apart from a trixon logo bass drum front skin...nearly impossible !!!!!!

however the speedfire heads are a great deal hrder to get, the trixon website has a link but these are currently out of stock.

although the drum is rare and very collectable i have gigged it sounds fab all miked up and it has gone down very well..also it is great to be behind such an unusual bass drum !!

Hey Diamond,Yes i have seen the heads in the pass.About 15 years at Remo in Hollywood,ca when i was picking up a big order of head's i got to go into the back room.The room was full of N.O.S. heads off size's that they had must have been 200 of these heads in white and clear...I wish i got some of them but i did not.I did get alot of 17" heads at that time.Don't know if they still even have them anymore...Mikey

Cheers Mikey, its been getting a lot of attention in the U.K. and that comment has been said a few times now regarding the unusual front skin and the rarity!!

Just been added onto the Trixon website also!!

Please take a pic with the smaller bass drum to the other side, I think that it would look even cooler...as it is, that looks really sweet!
