1960's Leedy Drums

This is the one that I have three of that seem to be original. One was on the drum, the other two were off. The other two had just the big wing screw to hold the leg in place and the holes were wider for bigger legs.

The spring loaded lugs are correct for your drum, the other two are the later design which works much better.

As long as those are original I'm happy, I just wasn't 100%. The bass drum rims have the typical paint chipping, not too bad but enough that a fresh paint coat would be nice. But I don't want to reduce value by doing so. What do you guys think?

I'd leave them and let the next owner decide what they want.

And some more photos of the kit. It really is in great shape. The main " flaws " are these. One bass drum hoop is missing the inlay and both have paint chipping. The tom mount on the bass drum had it's chrome covering come off through the years. And the original glue on the seams caused some of the red stars ( circles, anything red ) to run, but only on the seam. And lastly the bass drum legs are not original. Aside that the kit is 100% original, no major damage to the drums or wrap. No serious corrosion, pitting or rust.

Those are sweet! Someone is going to be really happy with them. I haven't seen many kits in that color. Great job!

Gretsch BD spur mount for a cymbal mount on the BD?

That's how it came. From what I know the original owner had that installed when he got the kit. The original owners son who i got it from said his dad always had a cowbell mounted there. And the wrap is white underneath, so It's been there. Doesn't have any markings on it indicating It's maker.
