your ideal/dream kit

Loading...

if money was no object, you could have THE kit of your dreams, what would it be?

mine - queens roger taylors' ludwig silver sparkle kit he used in '80/'81.

just makes me go all giddy at the knees!! flowers2

i remember reading that the sizes were huge!!!

14-15-&16" rack toms, 18&20" floor toms, and a 26" bass drum.

plus the 14&16" rototoms, the rack of syndrums, AND the 22&24" wuhan chinas!!

just awesome!

i'd have them double headed though, not with the reso head cut out like roger did for some reason!?!

still, they sounded good live.

Drums are loud....So play them LOUD!!!

George Harrison used to sing "I want a short haired girl who sometimes wears it twice as long."

I feel same about drums. I'd really like some nice 4 piece WMP Radio Kings, but then again, some massive Ludwig kit with three rows of toms and four kickdrums wouldn't be bad at all...

I think if Carl Palmer's stainless steel "Brain Salad Surgery" kit came up for sale.....I wouldn't buy it. baby crawl2 But I still dream about it. I remember when I was into all that stuff back in the day. Those etched stainless steel drums that weighed tons and had a rotating platform and...well...that WAS my dream kit.

North kit

Premier kit

Sweet Wood finish RadioKings

Trixon conical set

Early Yamaha 9000 Natural finish

Stuff like that. Nothing that Haunts my dreams. Just goofy fun stuff.
