I don't know first-hand, but was told by a friend that the Wuhan S series cymbals are loud and bright. He said they sound OK if that's your thing. He said that the Traditional series is a thinner, darker, kinda trashy sounding cymbal.

Hope this helps.

I just borrowed a 16" & 18" crash and a 12" splash, all S series, to check out. The crashes are bright and trashy sounding and could be used as a quazi china-crash. I like the 16" along side my zildjian's, but the 18" only sounds good with only the other wuhans. The 12" is great as a light crash/splash and isn't as trashy sounding as the others.

I'd get them if you're going to put them as a set with the MIJ you're selling. They'll do fine as starter cymbals.

Jeff, thats a cool deal, the S series is wuhans answer to the K zildjian line, that cymbals sells for $80.00 by it's self. they are all really hand made so no two sound alike.
