Hey, there is no time limit on theses kind of jobs. I would rather see you take the time and do a nice job than hurry up and do a half ass job. Your patience and hard work paid off, they are absolutely beautiful! I would kill to have a kit like that! Want to trade something, lol!

These are so nice Curtis. Great job you did. Glad the bass repair went smoothly. I hope these are keepers for you? This is the kit of set you regret selling when they are gone.

Looking great!
Following this thread as I'm hoping to learn how to make wrap crack repairs :)
Have you fixed your wrap cracks yet sir?
Awesome job!
Great job. It is a wonderful drum set.
ec curtis!
Yes indeed... wonderful job on the restore! Have a look at these... as shown here are my 1949/1950 WFL Buddy Rich Super Classics with all correct mounts and hardware, in the original wrap/chrome. Main difference between our two would be yours have the then NEW fold out spurs!, and mine has the 14X24 bass drum .. ( Buddy! ) .. and 2nd 16X16, plus all aluminum WFL badges. Otherwise... same drums! Yours look GREAT!

Kudos to you on a top-notch restore! They look fantastic...some day I'll own a Ludwig kit where the wrap hasn't been ripped off the shells lol...

Eric top notch job here !
Beautiful job. I will have to re read it a few more times to get some ideas.
Can you tell me what you used to clean the shells? I have a black diamond pearl 65 super classic.
I may also try the rustoleum on my pioneer bass drum that I am restoring (see other thread). I soaked the hardware in CLR for 3 or 4 days then used tarnex. I think there is a finish somewhere under there.
