You went with the double Evans heads !!
The so called work consists of ordering parts and shipping the shell and assembling it all. All it takes is a little vision actually Y'all....But thanks for all the kind words!!! I am very proud of this!Excited
That's exactly the point. Instead of doing nothing, you took the time to think through what you wanted to do, find the sources and order the parts; you made the financial commitment and put the pieces together to accomplish the desired result. Maybe not physical "work", but certainly more than many people attempt. And your "work" has been rewarded with personal satisfaction.
I restore cars for a living. People spend obscene amounts of money on these cars. Lots of car collectors around. I collect drums and restore them for fun. The cost is nothing compared to hobbys like cars, guns, motorcycles, gold, etc......... I have a little over $300 in it, but its priceless to me lol
A guy brought me a 1972 Karmann Ghia Convertible to restore a few days ago and left me $3,000 to get started on it. Im sure it will at least another 3 when its done.. in my shop now is the ghia. a 70 GTO, a 73 eldorado convertible, a 1969 impala, and have a 1921 Ford Model T runabout comming.
not to mention 4 boats and a bunch of small easy stuff.
My job is to gather parts, materials, etc.....
I was reading my email this morn and checking my saved searches on ebay and came accross the re-issue Ludwig snare for $2,500. It looks a lot like my new custom acrolite except it has 10 lugs. I noticed it had a brass throw off and butt plate. After a little clicking I found these and have ordered them for my snare. I have a seriuous problem Y'all. It's plain to see, I'm a drumaholic!! lol
