looking really good ? Is that the JS sparkle wrap ?
The Slingerlands
No actually. I got the wrap off ebay. Gonna drive me nuts, but a fellow member on here recently picked up a Turquoise Sparkle from the same seller. Looked killer so I looked into the guy. Nice guy, willing to work on price ( took an offer of $70 as opposed to the full 89.99 - every bit counts ) Came pre cut, extra grommets, seriously good quality wrap. This is the guys Ebay name - dmjkt2010

So by utter accident I found a paint I had that is about as identical to the chocolate milk paint as one can get ( unless you know the exact specs of what Slingerland used ) Like it's silly how spot on this. I just happened to be going through some of my art supplies and was fumbling through my acrylic paints. Happened across one called " Territorial Beige " I'm looking at it thinking " nah no way it's gonna be that easy to get a color match for the interiors " After a test on some spare wood, I started with the 13". Came out looking great. I'll snap a few photos later.
Added a photo of the color swatch for the color I went with.

Inside of the bass drum is painted and I'll get it wrapped up tomorrow. This color came out fantastic, and it's only $0.50 a bottle. Can't beat that. Still need to snap photos of the interiors.

"Territorial Beige" seems apt somehow - okay these are *Slingerlands*, all right? Look inside the shells! See that colour? You ain't *lookin* at no *Ludwigs*!
....fumbling across it is too much! Way to go, and top notch work all around.
Mitch
Jay nice match on the choc milk interiors. Bill H had found Krylon "Pebble" was a pretty close match in rattle can too. I used it on a SL bass painted black inside. Came out very nice. From what I've read this was sort of a translucent stain. And batches can vary in color somewhat. No idea what would make them cover up those nice maple interiors. Unless it was thought of as a sealant to enhance sound? Maybe someone knows. Anyway great job!

And here we go. Couple little things to touch up, but these bad boys are just about ready to go to a new home to be loved and played.
Missing two rods for the bass drum and the spurs. Found badges for them.
