Suddenly Inherited Rodgers Kit From Brother

Basically a guess at what you mite have in cymbals

True, no use in guessing until a full inventory is performed. As I explained to Catherine, each cymbal company offers many lines of cymbals, from beginner to professional. While I'm sure her brother's cymbals are pro models, it's best not to speculate until I see everything.

Hope is a good thing mark ..

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Hello!

Mark and I met at Starbucks and talked. Wonderful and he was honest. So helpful. I am now understanding what is involved. So not a goldmine but there is some value. Unfortunately they were not stored to maximum potential, but some spit and polish perhaps they will go to a better home, at least that is what I hope for. He is so knowlegdable and I look forward to seeing his collection some time!FYI

Hi Catherine!

It was a real pleasure meeting with you today! Want to let everyone know that I am currently in possession of the Rogers drums, Ludwig Super-Sensitive snare drum and the cymbals (no hi hat cymbals, though). No, I'm not buying them! I'll be donating my time to clean them up to be able to get a bit more $$$. I've already taken lots of pictures, but still need to resize and compress the file size for VDF. I'll begin posting them tomorrow.

Hi Gary,

I took pictures of the pies, but they're still on my iPhone. Need to resize them. However, there are 4 cymbals;

Zildjian 20" A ride, probably a medium to heavy

Sabian AAX crash. I need to measure the diameter.

Paiste 302 crash. Again, I need to measure the diameter.

Zildjian crash...but with a fairly long crack below the bell.

I'll get them all measured and weighed soon!

Unfortunately, the hi hats are MIA!

Question to all..

Should I continue showing the restoration process with this thread, or start a new one? I would probably use the same title, but add RESTORATION at the end. Thoughts?

Mark i think a new thread. What your doing for Catherine is great and once all cleaned and finished those drums can be viewed on here for all to see.

Agree on new thread. But maybe add the link to this thread in the beginning of your thread so it's clear what is being done.

Can't wait.
