Does anyone know the thread on a early 60's Teardrop kit bass drum spur mount wing bolt?...like the one shown here.
Sonor Teardrop Spur Mount
That's not a teardrop BD spur mount. To be honest, I don't even know what that is.

That is a cymbal and/or spur mount from an early teardrop bass drum, like mine from 1958. The wing bolt is not original, though. The mount is the same as the cymbal mount on the attached pics of my bass drum. Unfortunately, I can't find any pics of the spur mounts, but they are the same.
I don't know what the thread is, but the original bolt is L-shaped, as on my bass drum.

Yes, it is def the correct spur mount, and you may be right on the wingbolt. The spur and cymbal mounts are identical to each other. Yours is a little earlier than mine. Based on the nameplates, I believe mine are '64-'65.
Did some sniffing around and concluded this is a '65 kit and according to the catalog descriptions the plastic wing bolt is original. Mine happens to be rusted into the mount. Was assuming I may have to destroy the wing bolt in order to get it out, hence wondering the thread so I could maybe find an alternative modern replacement.
I was hoping Magnus would answer that. I never saw that before. Too early for me.

Maybe spray it with PB blaster and let it soak overnight. All SONOR bolts are hardened so let it work. It's a small tap so the threads don't have a huge bite.

My bad about the bolt. My kit is quite a bit older than yours, so obviously the design changed in the interim.
I agree with Oddball that you should try soaking the whole assembly in some solvent before dismissing the bolt. It should be saveable.
Perhaps a Fairy liquid solution might work?

I sprayed it with some WD-40 last night. Fairy liquid?
