he says the toms have no badges, as would be correct, yet they are maple. i have no photo of the bass drum interior; he says it has original calf head on it. i'm not interested in pursuing this kit further for purchase, as i'm looking for mahogany interiors; i'm just curious as to how a kit from the 50's has maple interiors?

I've seen 60 and 61 clear maple interiors on Slingy drums. There really is no "absolute" and "definitive" word. I, too would trust VM2K.
