Slingerland 14x14 BDP

Loading...

For sale or trade: 14x14 Black Diamond Pearl Slingerland. No badge, it's not missing, there was never a badge on this drum. The experts can tell us what era it's from. 3 ply mahogany with maple re-rings. Missing both hoops. Has push button lugs for the straight legs that need new "buttons". People here say I shouldn't re-wrap so I'm offering it for sale or would trade for less collectible drums. Make me an offer. Pictures by Monday (June 21)

Finely, here are some pictures of the drum. I have no idea what a fair price would be. Can somebody help me price this drum so I will know if I want to sell, trade or restore. Thanks guys!

Sorry, I had to compress this photo. It shows a small black circle just left of center on the shell and some stains that are hard to see.. I wanted everybody to see it. Drum has a missing mount screw on one of the leg mounts as well as the missing muffler. I need a complete 60's Slingerland 3 ply 9x13 tom to recover (shell with bad wrap). Three straight floor tom legs as well as the chrome BD slide mount (W&A?) for a Slingerland project. Thanks again!

There is a marine pearl 20" kick and 12" rack on ebay right now, would go perfect with this floor tom. http://cgi.ebay.com/Slingerland-1964-Green-Marine-Pearl-/320550543283?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa24d1fb3 Also comes with a later import snare. Good price, but the s&h is quite a bit.

I had emailed the ebay gent. I'm still awaiting a reply with more pics. If those look good, I would be interested in purchasing this floor tom. But, I will stay out of the way until I hear back from the other gent. Thanks. This is a sweet floor.

I looked at the BD, tom, and import snare on E-Bay. Doesn't $150 for shipping seem a little high? If you add the shipping and his Buy It Now it comes to $500. The snare is a $50 drum (maybe) then that's $450 for the bass and tom, is that the going price now for 60's Slingerland? At this point I'm really confused about pricing in this slow economy. I would really like to have those drums to go with my 14x14 but the price seems way high. Is it or is it me?

Hence, my email. I'm not stupid enough (well, maybe just a bit) to pay that much for those drums. I need to know the condition of the drums prior to "making an offer". I would never pay that buyitnow price, nor would I pay that shipping. It's over the top. But, if the drums are in good condition (which you can't tell by the pics or description posted), I would consider making a fair offer with fair shipping costs. That's what I'm awaiting.

150 shipping..... what a joke that place is. I am telling you, that ebay is about 90% bottom feeders and 10% legit. He should freakin' drive the damned thing to your house for 150 IMO!!

have a wonderful evening
