The color of your tom is "Light Blue Pearl." Ludwig also used the wrap and called it "Sky Blue Pearl." Marine Pearl, though similar, is a whiter color.

Norm, hate to diff with you but this is marine pearl not light blue pearl it's green not blue, and I have seen a ton of these and have a good bud that owns a mint condition set in this very color and have spent a few hours playing it!!! show me a slingerland in these two different colors then!!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

The guy in California called it Green Marine Pearl and he seems to be a know it all.;) My drum doesn't have any blue or green to it. I have seen Ludwig kits in what they called Sky Blue Pearl and my drum is more grey. This gets better by the moment. Thanks to everybody for taking such an interest in my drum.

Boscoe, I just emailed brainiac about his drums, and left him a little word from the wise, and it wasn't so nice either,I've been on ebay longer and have far more sales numbers than this seller and gave him some advice on how to respond to questions, and to post more and better detailed pictures, and descriptions about his sale items, I expect a very childish, and unprofessional response from him!!

Hmm.. Well, I once owned a set of Slingys in marine pearl, (not mint condition), that were yellowing, but still more white than green. And Buddy Rich played marine pearl, and his drums didn't look green either. I always assumed that the greenish hue of older sky blue pearl drums was due to age and/or fading. Could be wrong.

Suprise, suprise, the guy's reserve didn't get met. Bet he wishes he hadn't been a dick to all the people who wanted to make him an offer.

I'm no expert, but I still feel that this is light blue pearl that has aged. The finish on this 14x14 has a horizontal orientation and the marine pearl appears to have a more non-uniform pattern to it.

On my Slingerlands, the bass drum hoop inlay is the same color as this 14x14, my bass drum and 13" tom are gray, and my Radio King appears to be somewhere between gray and green, haha. My 16" floor tom this the color of the 14x14 shown here.

Dicks become defensive when they get embarrassed by their own behavior.

It's called the "Turtle Up" maneuver.........

Wow, did I say that ?

Why, yes I did.........................Eye Ball

WoW! I can't believe those drums got up to $250.50! I think sometimes people don't look at the shipping cost. $400.50 for a junk snare and two drums you really can't tell the condition of and the guy didn't take it. I think there must be problems with the bass and tom. Slingerlands are headed toward Gretsch land. I guess his reserve was his buy it price. I wonder what he will do now? Man, p***p sure tried to buy those drums. I gave it a shot down around the $155 to $200 range only hoping he would lower his shipping like he said he might. After reading his e-mail to me I figured he would still charge $150 to ship. Besides I just didn't like his attitude. He has good feed back but it was the only thing he was selling. I have to remember his e-bay name (orion 95008) for future reference. These drums will show up again I'll bet. Probably with a lower reserve and higher shipping.

Now if we could figure out what color my 14x14 is we would have accomplished something today. :)
