Seller Feedback Last viewed: 17 minutes ago

Tommy - Change the name of the thread to: 'Seller Feedback' and pin it. From here out, people can simply add their thank you's to whoever they had a transaction with and leave feedback for them.

It'll be a bee-atch to scroll through the entire thread after awhile, looking for feedback on a specific individual, but it'll serve its purpose and people can check for comments/feedback before doing business with someone they don't know very well. My only reservation would be, any negative feedback posts. The negative ones 'usually' incite long, drawn-out flame wars. Would be nice if it could be kept a generic 'positive feedback' thread.

Just a thought...

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Thanks, this is a great idea guys. I've managed to sell some items on VDF and have made some good contacts. I just wanted to list some feedback for the buyers that I've dealt with. Hope you don't mind that I'm coming from the other direction.

Gelight: Gordon was a pleasure to deal with. Sold him a Formula 602 crash. Fast payment and cool communication on the phone. Thanks Gordon.

Landen Larry: Sold him a hoop. Quick payment. Much appreciated!

BunnyMan: We traded a couple of Slingerland drums. I got a blue glass glitter Artist out of the deal. Great transaction. Since sold it to fund a solid shell Artist (on its way). This is what started my passion for Slingerland snares. Thanks Doug!

Shawn M: Sold him a COB Krupa. Great transaction. I've tipped him on a craigslist deal and I know he would do the same for me. Since he lives in St. Louis, I know we'll be buds. Thanks Shawn and looking forward to this Sunday's drum hang!!!!!!

MVLBS: Bought a fantastic Gretsch RB kit from Classic Vintage Drums. Great packing and transaction. Much appreciated.

Rillow64: Sold my sexy 60's Ludwig Pioneer to Cam. Fast payment and excellent communication. Drum is on its way. Thanks Cam.

I would like to add Gravy to the good guys list as well as Mike Layton, Shawn M., latzanimal, Ploughman, Salty, Fer428, Jaghog, greenglassdrum, Rogersling, as well as some of our older members (and my buds,); Kevins, Vintagemore2000 (Mark) and Vinny, Vintagedrumguy.

There's a bunch more, so please don't feel neglected if I left your name out. I just didn't want to make this post too l-o-n-g of a list for a single post. As I see your names added to this list of 'good guys' I will add my kudos and recommendation for you. Having this thread is a great idea and long overdue.

Don't forget Drums2xs. My buddy Rene is one great guy. Recent purchases have been a drum rack w/clamps and some miscellaneous parts. Whatever I'm looking for, Rene seems to have or is able to get it for me very quickly. The nicest part is that I can drop into his shop anytime (the advantage of living only 10 blocks away). Often do so just to chat and see what he's up to. Bob

I dont know that Ive sold much of anything on here. Ive probably bought way more than Ive sold, and given away far more than Ive sold. I will have some stuff for sale soon, but I can assure you... any issue will be up front. So far, all deals I have made here have been good ones. I appreciate honesty.

Just my personal opinion here, I am not a fan of this type thing. To each his own and I won't be doing any verbal sparring over this, but this just helps to grease the wheels to the further, and faster, transition from what the forum was to basically a stripped down version of EBAY minus the fees. That is already happening right before our very eyes and will only get worse every time EBAY raises their fees.........A high percentage of the posts seem to be more about buying/selling than anything else anymore, at least it seems that way to me.......

I vote to keep the for sale section the same as it was, or get rid of it, I am fine with either, and let the buyer's show a bit more discretion when shipping their hard earned money to a total stranger on the hopes that he is legitimate.........This is not directed at anyone in particular to be clear, and I have bought stuff from people on here with the full understanding that if I took it bad in the deal, I bear all the burden of that decision THAT I MADE when I sent him/her the money on good faith.......

Of course, I do expect the seller to be honest and honor his word, but if he isn't or doesn't, it is my fault for putting myself in that situation in the first place and I knew full well in advance what I was doing when hitting the send button on paypal..........I will personally opt to continue to put faith on a man's word, and if he proves otherwise, I paid for that information that I will use to make better decisions in the future.

I guess I have posted about positive transactions as well, and it seemed like the right thing to do at the time, but a dedicated section to who is perceived to be honest or not seems a bit over the top to me, again, in my opinion.

toodles

drumhack!...

This is NOT a "dedicated section to who is percieved to be honest etc."... it IS however just a thread running in the GENERAL SECTION that was started by a member to publicly express his gratitude/thoughts on a nicely handled transaction. Others felt that they would also like to post on the subject who also had good transactions within the VDF. We are NOT changing any sections or adding catagories, etc. This type of thread is allowed in the GENERAL SECTION, and as such, shall remain. Carry on men!

At the risk of being "burned", i doubt there are low lifes here that stoop THAT LOW. Why would a guy,[gal] come here to rip us off intentionally? It makes me happy to report a smooth deal and most of us appreciate that, i think. As much as the good guys are mentioned so should the bad apples be brought out, ONLY if its something that can be proven.
