I love the whole perceived value of things debate.

Whenever anybody in my family has a yard sale they always ask me to put a junk drumset in the yard, some tiwanese pile because it attracts attention. Twice I have sold sets I diddnt intend to because I purposly put too high of a price on them. One time I just kept saying make an offer and never sold it.

When emptying out my parents house we put an old refrigerator out with a free sign on it and it never moved. A week later we put a $50 for sale sign and left it out overnight and it was gone in the morning.

I believe jaghog is talking about gear that has sold or not sold here. I think it's because there's a little predudice towards certain members, some of these guys will only buy from their "Buddies", no matter what the price is.

I have not sold on here. I have often thought about it, and have posted in the trades and for sale sections.

I have bought a few things like a tom arm, or bassdrum claws from a couple of members.

I do understand that some of the guys on here don't always want to actually sell their drums. I get it, if I could keep every drum I've ever had I would.

I think part of selling something you are kind of attached to is making sure it goes to a good home. It's like parting with a litter of puppies, you don't want them just ending up in the pound, you want to make sure they get their "forever" home.

A seller may choose the buyer for whatever reason they see fit, so if they are friends or an acquaintance I'm sure if makes it easier.

There will always be clicks in any microcosm of people.

I'm always on the hunt for the forgotten trap set in someone's attic or basement. The drums on here have already been found.

Archeologists don't go looking for artifacts in museums, ya gotta get down in the dirt.
