once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

An ex boss had a story about putting an ad in the paper for free puppies .

Nobody called.

They redid the ad for puppies at $100 bucks a piece.

Sold out in a day.

Years ago I placed a 3 ft stuffed bear my daughter no longer wanted at the end of our drive way and tied it to a bush for any one who may want it. This thing was big, black and the eyes shined at night and yet it sat for a week. Next day I hung a sign on it stating " PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH". Gone the next morning.

That is very correct now the reason in most cases specially when you sell on Ebay. Ebay charges you 10% of the gross intake including on postage. an example if you want to sell a drum for $400.00 and you put it on Ebay these are the figures you should expect

Start at what you want to get $400.00 plus the shipping of let say $25.00

sold at the $400.00 you wanted

you do not get $400.00 you get $360.00 plus minus 10% from the shipping $22.50

Minus 10 from pay pal for collecting your money that $320.00 that you sold the item. Then when you go to post office the item does not cost you 22.50 that they left you with but $25.60 plus packing materials $15.00. lieves you 280.00. This is why you have to sell very expensive to just brake even.

The actual numbers are 10% from ebay which includes your shipping cost, and 4% from paypal. The shipping charge from ebay has been a stick in my crawl As I've always lost money on my shipping as I essentially pay the materials charge myself.

But I understand what you are stating.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

I remember our preacher years ago advertising in the local classifieds a one dollar bill for sale for 75 cents.

It took two weeks to sell....

If it's too good to be true, it probably is syndrome? People may think something's wrong with it if it's too cheap? People have to make the effort and ask questions first.

Vintagemore2000 Now the new price Paypal is charging is 10% also no more 4%. They have got out of hand I just had to call them a few days ago due to they charged me on a sale of $40.00 , $4.00 ebay and $4.00 from pay pal, plus on a $5.00 shipping and additional .50 for the shipping which was exactly $5.00. they are a rip off.

I don't know what you guys are talking about with PayPal. You had me worried, but still the same as it's been for awhile, direct from the website: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

Don't believe everything you read. Things aren't always as them seem.
