Rogers Drums USA!! New website

From The Ploughman

I have mixed feelings about this. Personally I wouldn't. And I don't want it. Leave the past in the past. Parts...yes. Love the parts. The rare wraps? leave them be. Rare, in the past.

I hadn't looked at it that way... you make a good point!

It'll be interesting to see how Rogers handles that situation.

Per Dixon Rep at NAMM. " We are owned by the parent company who owns the Rogers name and we don't have any Dynasonic snare drum to display.

Interesting about no Dynasonic snare drum to display. So, what was the pictured Dynasonic on the website?

Indeed Mark! It would appear that all the "insider" moles were truly blind! Regardless, they did create quite a buzz though! 😜

I did manage to save this picture when I first saw it. They do look nice. Hopefully they will sound as nice as they look!

Wow. I hadn't seen that yet. Aside from some very minor hardware differences, that's almost a clone of a Cleveland Dyna. I foresee someone throwing some original, vintage hardware on that shell and trying to pass it off as an original Cleveland on eBay.

Will it sound as nice as it looks? Will it sound as good as a vintage Dyna? I hope not, otherwise the desirability and demand for our vintage Dyna's will depreciate significantly.

But what can you tell us about the Dixon company itself? Who exactly are they? I'm expecting a level of quality from them that the previous Rogers-brand owners never delivered. A few weeks ago on a whim, I picked up nice Dixon set (18"BD-12"T-14"FT) I stumbled upon in a pawn shop here in Vernon. I had never even heard of Dixon, but it looked like it was worth the $300 (the same set is $850 on Amazon!). I haven't set it up or put new heads on it yet, but it looks pretty decent. Nice looking satin cherry shells and I even like the brushed chrome finish. This is the set....[Attachment: 105818]So I'm feeling fairly confident that Dixon will produce something of quality to associate with the Rogers brand. At least it has to be better than all the "Rogers-badged" crap we've seen since 1985. But B&B lugs!?? Damn. I just love the look of Beavertails.Mike

Mike, I have that EXACT kit, It's great. It's the "Fuse Profile Cherry". A combination of 3 ply Mahogany (inner) and 3 ply Cherry (outer). I love it. The snare is particularly nice.

Dixon makes some very premium snares. Also, they have really cool ideas like the "little Roomer" kit and the "Jet Set" kit. I know Dixon hardware is the same as Gibraltar's Hardware, the only difference is the name on the sticker. I'm eager with anticipation like the rest of us.

Glad you saved the Dynasonic picture! Had I known the site would go down in just a few hours, I would have downloaded every picture!
