Man, is that root beer? It came out beautiful, but he got lucky! Looks like it was all surface dirt/gunk. He did a nice job detailing it though. The drum looks primo!

I really would love to sit down behind a Drouyn kit just to hear them from the drivers seat. From everything I've read about them, they are very high quality drums and a high quality build. (Good hardware, and appointments etc.) Can you please either describe their sound, or better yet, if you have one, can you post a sound file? I'd really like to hear what those buggers sound like. Modern, boingy? Or, warm, FAT, vintage sound?????

John

Too many great drums to list here!

They sound great John. Like a cross between a Ludwig and a Gretsch to me. This clip has 2 ply heads but I have another one in more jazz style tunings I will have a hunt.

Niiiiiice! I like them! I don't know what kind of wood those shells are, but the drums have a nice warm sound. If I ever come across a kit on this side of the pond I'll have to give it some serious consideration. I love the lug design! Very Art Deco!

Thanks for posting the sound file! Helps to bring the drums to life...

I'm thanking you, because when you said 'drivers seat' it made me think differently about how to record a sound check. I'm going to give that a go.

What sorcery is this? That thing looks brand new! Well I do see a little marks on the lugs but they did a top notch job on that wrap. Bravo!

Thanks for the positives on the kit ...
