Cool badge!! Nice drum!! Do you know what the extra hole under the grommet was used for?
Cheers

Nice job, great sounding kit.
I love the sound of that snare... What are the specs? Wood type & number of plies, and size of shell? What heads are on there, any DrumDial numbers?
Thanks

Actually Dan the snare you heard is a Drouyn S100, which could be called a Supraphonic copy, from 1965. Chrome over alloy. I don't have a drum dial (wouldn't mind one) but this drum is fairly standard for my 5" snares which is about A on the top head and C above that on the bottom. So it's fairly tight. Aquarium coated top/Remo Ambassador bottom. Side by side, the S100 has a bit more top end than a Supra but they are very similar.
Absolutely!Wet sanding has worked very well for me on Oyster finishes and Duroplastic.Have sanded out some pretty deep scratches. Not gouges though, there is a limit.Automotive sandpaper,600 grit,1000 grit,5000 grit,Novus no.2 then Novus no.1.
