Hey man those look great, I am nearing completion of a restore of a set of Gretsch as well (waiting for the damn sun to come out and take some pics outside). I was able to clean an keep original wrap, but your new wraps look amazing!
Re-Wrapping My Gretsch
You did great with those! I re-wrapped an old RB kit last year and it's one of my favorites. Enjoy your kit! You're going to love playing those.

Okay guys, contest time.
Who can tell what I did wrong here?
It's a small detail but if you are like me it may drive me nuts.

The drums look beautiful! Good job! I'm not sure what you think your blooper is. Only thing I see is one badge is shinier than the other?
You mixed the tacks up between the badges! Doesn't matter. the drums are beautiful.

Ding! Ding! Ding!
We have a winner ladies and gentlemen.
I didn't realize how stark the difference was until it was done.
The darker tack actually has the nail "JB Welded" back on. :D
It was broken when I got it.
I guess over time you won't see such a difference.
The clean one was painted when I got it so I cleaned it. Guitar Dude Man
