After replacing the broken lugs, I don't plan to spend a lot on niggly parts. With them in their current condition, indeed, I don;t see putting a lot of dough into this, but I may try to make some parts to get the strainer working well. I have a small hobby size machinist lathe and may try to turn a knob etc. If I get anything re-plated it will be in nickel. I'll just try rust removal first and go from there. A guy over at cymbalholic restored one of these and mounted a Ludwig P-86 and it looks pretty elegant. If I go that route, 'd have to come up with an adapter though, I am not going to drill anything new into this shell.
On second though I am not going to steam off the re-rings. I'll just reglue them in place.
