I suppose it would depend on what kind of music you are going to be playing. I know what REO plays, but not your band....are you guys heavier sounding than REO? Same? Lighter? Rudes and Z's are pretty loud and cut through anything, but I'm assuming you will have overheads to mic up your cymbals anyway.....again depends on the genre of music played to determine what to choose from....

You definitely can`t go wrong with including the Zil A`s!!! But again, like L-Dude mentioned, it depends on the kind of music you`ll be playing...Cool gig though!!

I think maybe our bud is very excited ... as would any of us. I understand, I guess. It's a cool thing to share the stage with someone who you admired in your youth. I imagine I would be posting like mad if I was in these shoes.

I honestly didn't understand at first. I thought ... why would he need help choosing cymbals for a gig with his band? Then it hit me.

Bring all of your Paistes. Of course I have a very, very soft spot for Paistes, so I will tell you to bring out the Paistes and replace your non-Paistes with more Paistes. Did I mention that I love Paiste cymbals, yet? I am not a real fan of Zillys, which is probably sacrilege in these parts... You need a Stewart Copeland Blue Bell ride to round out your arsenal, LOL. What hats are you going to play?
