drum bug,

What part of Oregon? I lived there most of my life and I dearly miss all that natural beauty.

Stop stringing and tuning your instrument, make music now.

Still here, in and out. 60 I have been playing in a R&B band and also have a jazz gig I have been playing every Sat. Night for a year. I have 11 vintage sets and two modern sets. Going to star thinning the herd soon. May let my Premier Resonators and Big R Rogers go first.

We decided to sell our large house in 2013, and downsize our retirement life into a cozy Craftsman cottage that would be built for us. Part of the downsizing was a much easier decision than I thought it would be. I prioritized my thirteen vintage drum sets into two categories: the drums I wanted to keep forever and the drums that I really liked, but could be OK with selling off. The eight sets that I sold were mostly different versions of the keepers--just different colors or sizes. My prioritizing left me with my favorite Slingies, Leedys, and Walberg & Auges with drum sets centered around bass drums of 18", 20" or 22" diameters. I held on to all of my vintage A Zildjian cymbals, a half dozen spare snare drums, and a ton of vintage hardware. I have subsequently acquired a Gretsch round badge cocktail outfit. When I see a vintage drum set that I would like to have, I ask myself which of my current drum sets am I willing to sell to make room for it. So far, the only one that I'd sell or trade is the Gretsch cocktail set.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
