the tacked bottom toms will already have a bearing edge in them, Under the pigskin bottom head, so the lugs is all you have to do, finding the lugs will be a tough one to do. also my L/L/'s are 40's the floor toms at this time where 16x16 an 18x20",, there where no 16x18" until the 50's,

There's currently 4 single-ended lugs on the Bay, and I just saw a set of non-snare double-ended ones on there a few days ago.

Current gigging set:
Recent Ludwig Accent 13/16/18/26, (in Silver Sparkle), "updated" 70's Acrolite with cast batter hoop and Trick strainer/butt

Cymbals:
Zildjian K Custom Ride, Dream (Bliss and Contact) crashes and hats, and a Sabian Swish/China.

Other stuff:
60's Ludwig Champagne Sparkle "Traveler's Club Date", under construction. Click Here
70's Acrolite (under RE-construction)
Two 1960's mahogany 32" Ludwig bass drums with Imperial lugs.

Cool, the real Imperial lug is a two piece lug, that is what is on my kit, the lug has a bottom plate that it sits on.

Hmm... well, I'm waiting to hear back about some single headed (no tacked calf skin bottom) rack toms (11" and 13") that have Imperial single-ended lugs. I could have the bottom bearing edge and lugs added to get what I want.

Sorry, I meant to get back to you on those earlier. I went to the shop yesterday and unfortunately they were gone. They sold them to a collector about two weeks ago. Upon remembering them, they were quite shallow and wouldn't have had the room for another row of imperial lugs anyway.

Yeah, those are like the double-ended ones that ended last week on eBay, and very similar, obviously to the single-ended ones on there now.

I ended up replicating a Leedy 16x18 using vintage Leedy lugs, hoops, floor tom legs, etc and using a Keller vintage maple shell. I just couldn't wait any longer.

This is part of the plan, although Keller doesn't offer a 3-ply mahogany shell. Only a 6-ply. :(

Jon, I own both leedy and Ludwig ludwig drum kits both being conn era drum kits,, I also own a Keller Vintage Mahogany shelled drum, the Keller shells sound nothing like a real conn era shell, just my 2 cents!
