Yeah that may be it, the badge looks right. you look to have a little diamond in the ruff here! keep us posted
My find
I'm going to check the other two now!!
Peeled back the floor tom. Had to take the legs off and cut some stitching at the seam but, the badge was right side up. It sure is a purty color now that I see it more.
I have to get ready for the game today but I'll be checking the bass drum out later on for sure. Thanks for the comments. I truly had know idea what they were until a few days ago. I guess I'll be looking for some parts in the near future.
Peel those things like a banana and get to the good stuff !!
They have a little more shuffling over the next month until they can be set up proper like. The felt is only helping at the moment.
Anybody have a clue as to what bottom hardware is going to cost me?
It really is looking good so far. do the toms even have bottom rims on them? can't tell? can you post a pic of the toms show the entire shell?
I'd say once you get the makeshift drum covers off and get to the actual finish on the set give them a light cleaning with Meguiar's Plastic Cleaner followed by their clear plastic polish and call it good. Do NOT use anything other than good old fashioned elbow grease for cleaning and polishing the wrap up. As for the hardware if anything is pitted I suggest a good chrome polish such as Blue Magic metal polish followed by a good hand buffing.. Looking forward to seeing the end results. Nice find !!
Pretend Drummer: As I've mentioned countless times --- White Marine Pearl never "yellows". It only "mellows" through the years! That wrap just screams vintage. Great find!

Thanks for the info. I already have some Blue Magic on hand. I'm hoping to pick up the other stuff when I make a trip out to the hardware store today.
I'm fired up to get our addition complete so I can get on with this project.

No rims or hardware on the bottoms.
The next pic I upload will be after they're home and have all of the felt wrap taken off. That won't be for another month or so.
I took them to my folks house this morning along with many of my guitars. I'm litterally getting ready to knock a wall down, move some electric outlets, rip up some flooring and all the other things that go along with renovation with the exception of plumbing.
I will definitely post a pic or two when they're complete.
Many thanks for all the info.
