LUDWIG Tone Controls

From roundbadgedude

just buy the new ones for $19, you can't tell any difference from the originals whatsoever.

True...with the following caveats; 1. As long as you require the style with the knob BELOW the screw. Most vintage knobs with the knob above the screw have different sized holes for the screw and knob shaft. 2. The new mufflers have the spring steel part that is formed different from muffler to muffler. This can cause issues of not hitting the head at the proper direction. When I ordered my Maple Custom Downbeat, I also ordered mufflers, but not mounted. Two of them had to be positioned at different distances below the bearing edge to work properly. The third control was so bad that I ended up using one of my vintage mufflers!

the new ones only come with the screw on top as far as I know. If you have a 60s or early 70s Ludwig you'll need the screw on the bottom.

Mark just got in there before me:)

I posted these to sell not to start a discussion. I'll say it again. If you don't like what I'm selling then go buy somewhere else. I think my prices are reasonable. If they don't sell at the prices are now then I will go lower.
