This is what I traded VintageDrumBug for. I will post pics as I go along. Here's what she looked like as I got her.

Here's a great example of using a small tumbler with aquarium gravel, hot water and Dawn dishwashing liquid.
Tumbled them for about 8-10 hours. Only downfall was the gravel got stuck in the inserts. Easily removed with a small punch and the tap of a hammer.
The last photo is after tumbling.
Nice project. I am doing the same thing, cleaning up parts. Still dont have a tumbler though.
Thank you!

I found mine at Harbor Freight, I use it for tumbling coins and things I find with my metal detector. I tried it for the first time on these and was very please with the results. Tumbler runs less than $50.00.
Here's the shell after Novus 1. The amount of fade is not that bad, when everything is covered, it will look nice. I may go over the shell with Novus 2 on a small area to see if it changes the fade much.
That Novus is amazing stuff! Lookin good, and I think I might have to get a tumbler.
Thank you!

Note and issue. When tumbling with gravel it gets stuck in holes, i.e. Inside the threaded inserts (easy fix with a punch and hammer) and also in lug screw holes (not so easy fix, still working on it)
Well done!
