OK thanks. Pictures asap. I'll have to make a trip to Hollywood.
Yes they both have the initials. Not my friends fathers. With I could find out who's they were originally.

I'd check with the L.A. Philharmonic while you're around there, just to see if they might want any more in their collection. They have deep pockets.
That's a good idea Bill. I use to study with Mitchell Peters many years ago. He's recently retired as principal tympanist and percussionist for many years. I think he'd remember me... maybe.
Some discussion on these a while back but I finally got them from the owner to take a few photos so I thought I'd share them.
These are 18 7/8 inches and quite heavy weighing 2514 and 2448g's. I'm certain the initials "EFG" are of a previous owner. No word yet on who that might be yet.

Wow!! Gorgeous.
Someone mentioned "The Man Who Knew Too Much", so I thought I'd share a picture of the cymbals, easily found on Google:
Those are huge! And shiny! No patina cult back then, I suppose.
Thanks to Drumaholic for all of the information. Dear Drumaholic, please continue to ignore the jerks that totally abused logic and comprehension in this thread. Most of us learned a thing or two here.
