How much for this Torodor MIJ Kit?

Loading...

I recently got a Tiger's Eye Pearl Crest drum kit. Since I have it and it is a more unique wrap...I think I am going to sell my Torodor kit. What do you think a good price to ask for it would be? It is in great condition and comes with the matching snare drum. Sizes are 20, 12, 13, 16 (14" snare of course). Shell kit...no hardware or cymbals

Wow! Your Torodor is in exceptional condition! My motto is "condition is everything"! I know we all complain about the high prices of MIJ sets, with the biggest issue being condition vs. price. Given the condition of your set, I don't see why they wouldn't command at least $500. Granted, it's not in a more rare wrap, but it's exceptionally clean! Test the waters and see what happens. Good luck!

Thanks! Yeah, this kit is in amazing condition. I kinda don't want to sell it but I have about 13 other kits and need to get rid of one. It's not pictured but it does have the original cymbal arm that mounts to the bass drum as well. I have the other original hardware I could include too. Kinda wanted to keep the hardware since I have other MIJ kits from the same era, but it might be neat for someone to have all of the original hardware as well. It was like a time capsule when I got these :)

Very pretty! To bad you have to sell her.

My guess is it will go at $400, but if your willing to wait, you might get $500, eventually.

There are a couple of nice MIJ kits floating around e bay and Reverb at the $500 point and they have been sitting for quite awhile. But as Mark said, test the waters and go a little high and see what happens, you might get some good offers

Yeah, I'm still debating if I should keep it or not. I have a few other MIJ vintage kits and am running out of room and it would be nice to have the extra money. I would be happy with $400. Of course I would have to start it higher to actually get $400 since everybody wants a deal, lol. It all depends on finding the right buyer I guess. The unique thing about this kit compared to the other MIJ kits I have is that it has the original kick drum head in great shape and original hardware....someone really took care of this kit!

I'd say $400 is possible and $375 is probably very realistic. Start at $500 and see what happens. You might find someone who falls in love with them immediately.

I would certainly agree with this. As I mentioned, start high...and be willing to negotiate!

Yeah, that would be me!:(

As a newbie, I would definitely fall in love with these pretty easily.
