Hi John,

They are not Hayman lugs, I got them from drumfactorydirect.com .

They were the only ones I could find to fit the spacing on the shell without me drilling extra holes. They do look like Hayman style now that you say it though.

By the time I came along with my 70.00 cash

having had to drive to south Boston

These Ludwig rocker shells (they were advertised as Tama but I knew better)had already been freshly re-wrapped in this gold or yellow satin flame

Somewhere along the line re-assembly had been started but never finished

I got them in pieces the shells, some loose hoops, and a big plastic bag full of hardware

(lugs, claws, rods, spurs ect ect )

When I first got them home, I unloaded the shells into my garage

but I left the bag of hardware in the back seat of my Honda wagon.

The parts rattled around in my back seat for a month or so

And then one night, someone stole the whole car from the loading area at my drum space

The car was gone without a trace along with all of my rocker drum parts

Not to mention a ton of other stuff

The shells sat around unfinished for almost nine months

One night I get a call, that my Honda had been found abandoned and heavily vandalized.

Well the car was trashed I got her running (but only on 3 cylinders )

the windshield was completely smashed the tires were all flat

some of the lower front end body panels were missing it was a total loss

But save for a large box of great tools

All of the other contents and personal belongings were strewn about the interior of the car Including all of my rocker hardware

Here so far is the results of the re-assembly

The new wrap covers the holes for the standard diamond mount

I have not yet decided to cut into the virgin look of the bass in order to reinstall the mount ..

Hello Vater

I like the way you are thinking there

And besides, with those power sized toms

If I use the original mounting hardware,

By the time I hang both of those big deep toms up over the bass drum

with enough clearance to avoid any rash to the top of the bass

They are simply too high to play comfortably for me

The one thirteen inch tom on a snare stand and set to the lower right of the bass drum is much more comfortable to play
