Fibes rehab from Chrome to White.
The 15 x 15 floor tom is an Eames.
For those with first-hand experience, how close is the appearance of Jammin' Sam and Precision sparkle wraps to the stuff Ludwig was using back in the day? I don't just mean the colors, either; I'm curious if the sparkle looks the same.
Only rewrap project I've ever done. Late 50''s Slingerland Super Gene Krupa. Turquoise glass glitter wrap came from Jammin' Sam. Long forgotten drum brought back to life.

I can tell you that hex glitter, or sparkle, hasn't changed much if at all over the years. Pics show Precision SS on snare with original Ludwig wrap on tom. You can see the new stuff is bluer than the original. Four coats of Minwax Varathane brought it into line.
As long as the wrap consists of hex glitter [it's really sparkle as it's not glass] on a putty-coloured background, it will match.
Match...I mean Mitch
They are linked to Photobucket. Just common .jpg files I'm surprised you can't see them. Ask TommyP maybe he knows why.
Idrumforfun - You maybe right and I'm remembering it wrong. It was a special order I believe. I love it, it's a beautiful wrap.

I got a sample of Precision's silver glass glitter and the size of the sparkle itself is a little larger than the original sliver glitter on my 64 Rogers kit. Side by side, up close you can see the difference, but more than a foot or two away and they look identical.

Stunningly good match Mitch.
