From AZBill

Soooo, what sizes, cr0w? I wouldn't worry so much about what model. Could've been part of any combo of kits. You'll never know, but you can surmise. No matter what sizes, I'd look for a 16x16 FT and depending on that unit, do as fishaa suggests, in whatever wrap suits your fancy. The important thing is, you're rescuing them.Best of luck and keep us abreast of your project.B

The bass is 14x22 and the tom is 9x13.

You're right I guess.

I just want to find the right hardware for them. :D

Check out the mounts on this kit. I believe this is what you're looking for.

Walburg & Auge if I'm not mistaken. Would have been factory original, and then someone added a rail to the top of the kick and and Ludwig tom mount.

Look forward to seeing what you do with these.

Best,

Aaron

Thanks for the info.

I am thinking about filling all the holes, re-wrapping them and leaving them alone.

This would be my player set.

It may be too far gone to be a collector set.

They need a lot of help. LoLoLoLo

I only see 2 "extra" holes in the rack tom. The other 2 sets of 3 holes are for the top and bottom tone controls I think.

Believe it or else!

Yeah..that is right..what he said above..

Looks like they drilled 2 holes for a 60's-70's Ludwig mount by the muffler...brilliant!

The good news is that these drums future just got a whole lot brighter because you have them. The Tom did have top and bottom muffles. My set has them too, if my set was as bad off as this one i would have taken them off. I'd check to see how loose the heads fit, to see if it can be wrapped. The best thing about Gretsch drums are the sound find a floortom and you've got a recording set.
