Favorite Hi-Hat stand?

Whats your favorite, most reliable Hi-Hat stand?

I rock a late 80's early 90's Remo Dynamax ,3 legged HH stand. This stand has seen non-stop action for 20 years and never misses a beat. I cannot find another HH that has the feel of this little beauty. Not quite "vintage" but its the most reliable stand i've ever played. [new or vintage] (and the original owner says the same thing) As well as those who play it. Jump For Joy

We don't really talk about HH's to often, so i thought this would be a neat topic of convesation. So, what HH stand seems to work magic for you all ?

I haven't found it yet, but it's NOT the Gibraltar 8600 flat base stand. It's sluggish. I've got a Remote Speedy Hat on order, so let's see how that works out.

I use a Slingerland No. 804 Flush Base hi-hat stand that I am absolutely in love with. I like the extra wide foot board, and the direct pull strap system is very smooth. I've always used beefy DW stands in the past, but I prefer the feel and light weight of this vintage stand.

I swap back and forth between the 806 Dynamo and the 804 Flat Bass Direct Pull - both old Slingerlands. They are amazingly smooth and very comfortable. I lean towards the 804 'cause I love the whole line of flat bass hardware from Slingerland.

I am on my fifth HH stand. DW 9000 two leg. Very smooth and reliable. I really like the look of the flat base stuff but I am leery of the light weight. I want to get another stand to keep set up with my home kit. I have been giging a lot and I have been feeling pretty lazy about packing and unpacking, so in turn I haven't been playing at home.I am trying to have everything in cases ready to go so I don't forget anything.

I always keep an acoustic kit in cases, complete with hardware and gig bag, and a Roland HandSonic 15, complete with pedal triggers and amp. If there's anything I've learned over the years, it's that musicians don't carry time pieces. The calls come with no heads up and no prior preparation.

Dw 5000 two legged Hi hat stand best hihat stand I've ever used, I have tons of vintage stands,most of the time the clutch's are the weak link to me on the vintage stuff, the DW comes with an awesome clutch, it has a locking bottom plate. and the middle of the clutch is not threaded as not to damage the top cymbal!!

I know alot of "rock stars" now days just clamp there HH's and work the duble bass. Lame I think the HH is just as important as say, the snare... I love to here them hats a rockin Bonham style Stage Band2

I always judge a players creativity on their use of the hi-hat, double bass just doesn't do it for me. Guys like Steve Gadd, Dennis Chambers, Bernard Purdie, and Carter Beauford to name a few are extremely creative in their hat playing. They can turn a simple groove into so much more.
