I love this Gretsch MoonGlow, it's just too cool. I don't care for plain white drums unless they're fuzzy ones. LoLoLoLo

Mr. Olimpass, I presume that is a Satin Flame color. I know I said these were some of my not favs, but that is a pretty derned cool-looking FT. Here are some fuzzies for you...

Interesting thread. My favorites are probably Gretsch Cadillac Green, mahogany, natural maple, Tony Williams yellow, WMP and chrome. Gretsch's satin flames/swearls, most all sparkles and pearls, and Ludwig's psychedlics are also high on the list.

Among my very least favorites (not very vintage as I have a hard time dislikeing anything vintage) , anything fluorecent acrylic, and anything that's covered with fur and/or zeebra or cheetah patterns. (no offence to anybody!) Also anything that resembles this:

In my opinion, all of the above is just utterly horrid(least favorites!). Gonna go look at the gallery now... ugh Hurting

I would have to say Ludwig Super Classics in Gold Sparkle, I have several pieces in that particular one, including a late 50's-early 60's Ludwig 32" concert bass drum that I use for a kick. Psychedelic Red is great too.

Black Oyster Swirl is sexy as hell!

The new Ludwig Psychedelic Red Glass Glitter blew me away.

I saw a Bun E. Carlos signature kit covered in that, it was mind boggling!

Least favorite would be the solid colors (i.e.- cortex).

Oh yeah, and I HATE 'Butcher Block' anything! lol

Hmmm...let's see....

Favs: Black Panther, which in no way makes my drums look like an amp or a guitar case as someone else said.....they are still shaped like drums so they still look like drums...LoLoLoLo......

Green Sparkle, Red Sparkle, Gretsch's silver satin flame, Blue Onyx, natural maple, sky blue pearl/midnight pearl, the Ludwig WMP from the 60's-80's (non aged of course!) and also the large random chip white pearl that Gretch, Leedy and Slingerland all used (again, non-aged)

Least favs: Any of the mod/psychadelic colors, just looks like a frog in a blender to me.....yuck! Purple sparkle, mardis gras pearl, cadillac green, copper mist, chrome-o-wood, the grey powder-coated acrolite snares (again, yuck!), black diamond pearl, 70's oyster blue aka bowling ball, butcher block, mahogany cortex (it looks as fake as it is!), and Ludwig's Tophat & Cane....just gaudy and ghastly!
