So, you were "trolling" mcjnic? Strange, I like mcjnic's posts a great deal. Well, I do not want to get involved in that, but, I will point out it doesn't matter if one is a professional musician or not, when, it comes to collecting drums. If one is happy to collect vintage drums and just likes to play along to records/cds/mp3s/8 tracks ect, that's a valid form of expression. Some people are not comfortable playing in public, it's just a hobby. If a person has a positive experience playing music, whatever form, they should get the thumbs up. Personally, I love to play as much as possible. The cool thing these days, with personal studios, I play ever week and it it's recorded. That does not make my musical experience any better than someone who just likes to play along to Led Zeppelin records. It's the same. Just my two cents.

By the way, since the door is open, as a Rogers collector, I would like to chime in on the Blue Sparkle Rogers.....

the Rogers "kit" you have been trying to off for weeks and weeks and stacks of weeks....... is just not that desireable. It is a collage of orphans. Cleveland floor, with Fullerton tom, on top of a cleveland bass with extra holes for the second Rogers mount of questionable origin, (it didnt happen at the factory), you are missing the TWO cleveland toms that should be on top of this bass drum, either two 12s or a 12 and 13. Its just not worth what you want. That is, if the Bass and Floor tom were even born in the same year. Its not even a players quality drumset. No matter how nice those individual pieces are. A collection of orphans doesnt make a players grade set. You are trying to trade THAT for something which REALLY IS A KIT? No one in his right mind is going to trade for that. And seriously, no one that has any knowledge beyond "Rogers were great drums in the 60s" is going to consider it for ownership. Parting out maybe. Completing a missing piece maybe. But then, the bass is still damaged goods. 600 for all that should make you dance in the streets. Thats the reason you did not get any responses to your posted ads.

You're a loon too, I got this kit at Rockin Robin, the kit is in pristine condition. I'll put it up against any Rogers blue glass glitter kit out there, the wrap is perfect, the lugs are shiney, the inlays are intact and all tags are present. This is way above a "players" kit. This thing should be in a freakin museum and if you can't see that then I sense a bit of jealousy. It is not uncommon to find Fulleton and Cleveland drums together, they had one one like this at Steve Maxwell's going for over $1,500 and it had mixed drums.

How do you know it did not come with the extra mount from the factory, were you there? Maybe it was a custom order. In fact, yes it was, see you don't know everthing.

I'm one of the guys he hates... I think... I've never played a gig... and I have a few vintage kits in the basement.

Sorry man... at 52 I'm still a kid at heart and a $25 set of yard sale Slingerlands led me to discover I still really like to play with drums.... and I do play, everyday.

And... my Rogers kit has matching tags. :)

Are these "cleveland" drums with grey speckled interiors? Or, do they have flat grey interiors? No Fullerton toms came with Cleveland era kits. Period. Some Fullerton era, early Fullerton era drums, utilized leftover badges at the time of the mover from Covington to Fullerton CA. Those drums have grey speckled interiors and cleveland or dayton tags. There are genuine kits that came from the factory with a Cleveland, Dayton, Fullerton mix of TAGS. These were five ply shells, painted grey speckled on the interiors. They are identifiable as drums that came together.

Fullerton toms did not come on cleveland kits.

I have a three ply Cleveland 1964 kit. I have a five ply 1966 Cleveland Dayton transition kit. But I can identify that the drums came together from the factory.

Frankly I dont care how shiney they are, that bass drum has been hacked on.
