All of Ringo's kits were keystone badge kits with white painted interiors.....except for the natural maple kit that he used for the Let It Be/Abbey Road sessions....those were maple interiors.Say! There's a thought! Why not a laminate outer ply of natural maple? Then you could have a Ringo rooftop replica kit! x-mas3

The Interiors of Ringo's rooftop thermo gloss maple kit were painted white and supposedly stamped 1967.

Citrus is so refreshing...;)

I went with Citrus because there are not that many out there, and I have always liked that wrap. I get more comments (good ones) on that one kit than any other I have re-wapped.

Plasit-Kote has discontinued the Stone Touch line and replaced it with Valspar Stone Spray. It doesnt come in a grey color, but Krylon still makes their Make it stone and has the Grey. I am going to hobby lobby at lunch to find it.

here is the pic from the other thread with the granitone match. the plasticote was the best match for that drum. I donot use hardware store type epoxy as a wood filler. I am not going to repost the rest of that thread here sorry. it is not a big deal to join the forum if you want more builder's info. best of luck

Bummer. The Krylon was not a good match in fleck size.

Ok I found this today. Its Plasti-kote trunk paint color grey white. Carquest had it. its pretty close but not excat. The worst part is what It cost me to aquire this can of paint. I cost me about $117.00 to aquire itCryBaby. carquest is on the other side of town from me.Car Driving2 it just so happens there's 2 good pawn shops within a block form carquest. The 1st one, EZ Pawn had a cherry, mint, fabulous acrolite b/o pointy badge for $59.00. Cool1The second one had a old Zildjian A 16" med or thin crash with nice pitena and a very slight keyhole for $39.00.Clapping Happy2 Well, you guessed it. I now have another acrolite and another cymbal and some pretty close paint.LoLoLoLo

The grey in this paint is dead on to the grey in the acoustical coating. I spotted it and letting it dry now. Ill show pics after Chuck.
